Table Tennis, also known as ping-pong, is a racket sport derived from tennis but distinguished by its playing surface being atop a stationary table, rather than the court on which players stand. Either individually or in teams of two, players take alternating turns returning a light, hollow ball over the table's net onto the opposing half of the court using small rackets until they fail to do so, which results in a point for the opponent. Play is fast, requiring quick reaction and constant attention, and is characterized by an emphasis on spin relative to other ball sports, which can heavily affect the ball's trajectory
I started playing Table Tennis at the age of 9, when my dad took me to a local gym where I saw a few people playing. I was so amazed by how they were keeping the ball in play despite how quickly it was moving back and forth across the table. I didn't know it in that moment but I was addicted to Table Tennis for life. Since then, I have trained with many high level coaches and have played at many prestigious clubs all over the United States, including the Maryland Table Tennis Center (MDTTC), the Samson Dubina Table Tennis Acadamy (SDTTA), the Lily Yip Table Tennis Center (LYTTC), and the India Community Center (ICC). I have also played in many high level tournaments including the US Open and the North American Teams Championships. Furthermore, I am extremely thankful to have had so many opportunities to provide coaching to both children and adults who have been interested in improving their skills in the sport of Table Tennis. Currently, my peak USATT rating is 2258 and I practice every single day to surpass my limits and improve as much as I possibly can!
